Miles v Linkage Community Trust Ltd - Compensation for denial of rest periods under Working Time Regulations is discretionary [2008] EAT

The Working Time Regulations Regs 1998 21 & 24 provide that where a worker's activities involve the need for continuous service and working through a rest break (such as in a hospital) he must be given "compensatory rest".
