Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd v Glencross - Inadequate tribunal reasons in whisltleblowing case [2008] EAT

Mr Glencross was a safety officer involved with overhead lines on the railways. Under pressure he gave false statements concerning procedures prior to an accident. Later he disclosed the truth - and thereafter became subject to numerous disciplinary actions. Ultimately he was dismissed.

An employment tribunal concluded that the real reason for his dismissal was that he had made a protected disclosure and that Network Rail had not disproved that. Network Rail appealed.
