Network Rail Infrastructure v Booth - Compensation awards for loss of pension rights EAT
Ms Booth won a tribunal for unfair dismissal and sex discrimination.
The principal appeal by the employers regarded a compensation award of £149,325 for pension loss. It was submitted that the tribunal erred in law in assessing this loss and failed to give credit for pension benefits which would be secured in any new employment. They also appealed against an award for the loss of the benefit of private health insurance, in particular with regard to its allowance for a period of five years.
