NMW - What Workers are Covered
- A person qualifies for the national minimum wage under the National Minimum Wage Act 1998 s.1 if he is an individual who
- is a worker;
- is working, or ordinarily works, in the United Kingdom under his contract; and
- has ceased to be of compulsory school age.
- The National Minimum Wage Act and Regulations contain special rules for certain categories of worker.
