Parker v Northumbrian Water - Statement of particulars of employment clearly reflects contract when employee states in terms that it does so EAT
Mr Parker was an engineer working for Northumbrian Water. He brought claims for unlawful deduction of wages and to determine his terms and conditions of employment. He argued that Northumbrian's policy of "banking" hours breached his contract. The employment tribunal noted that Mr Parker had signed a statement of particulars which included reference to the banked hours system. Mainly on that basis, it dismissed his claim. Mr Parker appealed.
