Pendragon t/a CD Bramall Bradford v Copus - Concerns employer's late response to tribunal claim [2005] EAT

Wherever possible, employers must submit a response to a claim within the 28-day period or if necessary apply for an extension of time before the 28-day period expires.

This case shows that the EAT has power to allow an application for extension even after the end of the 28 day period if there is a good enough reason.
