Potter v North Cumbria Acute Hospitals NHS Trust & Others - EAT allows for new comparators to be added in NHS "single status" equal pay claim

When NHS staff (other than doctors and professionals) moved from the old Whitley Council's system to the new single status system introduced after 2004, the change was not so fundamental that their old employment contracts came to an end and new contracts started. Therefore claims (and amendments to claims) in respect of alleged pre-Agenda for Change pay disparity could be made without infringing the normal 6 month time limit.
