Qing-Ping Ma v. Merck Sharp & Dohme Ltd - race discrimination, time limits and continuing acts - EAT 6.2.07

Dr Qing-Ping Ma is a Chinese research fellow employed by Merck. He claimed that various fellow employees had discriminated against him over the years on the ground of his ethnicity. He presented his claim on 22nd August 2005. An employment tribunal ruled that (most) of the complaints relating to acts of discrimination alleged to have occurred on or before 22nd May 2005 were outside the permitted 3 month time limit for such claims, and that it was not just and equitable to extend time.
