Rahman v (1) Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis (2) Home Secretary - national security procedures & special advocates
The special ET Procedures in cases of national security dictate that a special advocate cannot communicate with excluded person anything about the respondent's case - whether it be closed or open material. To avoid this anomaly with other courts, a tribunal should (as it has power to do) routinely order that the special advocate can so communicate until such times as he has seen the closed material on which the respondent relies.
