Messrs Ramsay, McCard & Griffiths brought claims against Bowercross and the Guild (CWG), which failed. An employment tribunal, considering that they had acted unreasonably, ordered that they pay Bowercross's costs. These included Counsel's fees and those of its representative Ms Dempster of Sentinel Employment Law, a qualified solicitor, without a practising certificate, but authorised by the Bar Council to instruct Counsel directly.
