Royal Mail Group Ltd (formerly Plc) v Tipper - Tribunal's judgement too "sparse and impressionistic" for EAT to be able to even consider merits of appeal [2008] EAT

Mr Tipper, a manager in a mail centre, was alleged to have used racist language whilst on a night out with fellow managers. Royal Mail saw this as gross misconduct and dismissed him (and one of the others). An employment tribunal held that the dismissal was unfair and Royal Mail appealed.
