Saint Francis Hospice v Burn - error in compensation award
Employment Judge erred in compensating for a particular loss which had never been advanced and thus never responded to.
Nurse Ms Burn, who was signed off sick, alleged that she had been bullied and harassed and eventually resigned.
An employment tribunal upheld her claims of constructive unfair dismissal, and Saint Francis Hospice appealed to the EAT, both on liability and quantum.
With one minor exception, it lost.
