Shaw & Co Solicitors v Atkins EAT - in a DDA "reasonable adjustments" case, the cost of the adjustments must be considered

Ms Atkins suffered from ME.  The principal work of her solicitor employers at their Doncaster office, where she worked, related to claims by former mineworkers in relation to Respiratory Disease and Vibration White Finger.

An employment tribunal found disability discrimination in that her employer had failed to make reasonable adjustments in various respects, notably for present purposes that it had not installed a stair lift to enable her to access their first and second floor offices.
