Singh v London Underground Ltd - Employment tribunal was entitled to exercise case management discretion and refuse to allow additional document to be adduced [2008] EAT

At a 17 day hearing before an employment tribunal, Mr Singh represented himself on all but two days, when he had Counsel. On one of those days (day 14) a new document suddenly became relevant. This was a signed ACAS agreement - allegedly different to the unsigned one disclosed and upon which there had been cross-examination.The tribunal refused to allow it to be admitted, and went on to dismiss Mr Singh's claims. He appealed - not against that outcome but against the refusal to admit the document.
