Singh v The Members of The Management Committe of The Bristol Sikh Temple & Ors - priest was "worker" since legal relations were intended

Sikh priest was "worker" for purposes of national minimum wage claim.

Mr Singh, a priest at the Bristol Sikh Temple, brought a claim under the National Minimum Wage Act 1998 (NMWA). An employment tribunal ruled that it had no jurisdiction to consider such a claim from him because he was not a "worker" within the meaning of the Act. It also ruled taht he was not an "employee" within Employment Rights Act 1996 sec 230.
