Smith Knight Fay Ltd v McCoy - when is "action taken" for the purposes of the statutory dismissal procedures?
Brand Manager Mr McCoy was told at a meeting on 3 April 2007 that, due to organisdational restructuring, he was redundant. This was confirmed in a letter dated 5 April - but nothing happened to put this into effect. Further meetings followed on 19 April (looking at a different role) and 11 May when he was eventually dismissed.
