South Tyneside BC v Abbot, McAvoy & Others - male employees can bring "piggy back" equal pay claims contingent on claims by female colleagues

Male employees doing like work as female employees who bring equal pay claims are entitled to bring contingent "piggyback claims". They do not have to wait until a final decision is made on the female employees' claims. Assuming those claims succeed, they too will be entitled to the improved contractual terms and any arrears of pay.
