Suffolk Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust v. Crawford & Preston - tribunal substituting its own view for that of a reasonable employer

Mrs Crawford and Mr Preston are both qualified nurses.  While on night shift in September 2008 at West Suffolk Hospital they restrained an 89 year old male dementia patient who had been exhibiting aggressive behaviour. A staff nurse who was on her way out of the ward and was looking in from the doorway at least partially observed the incident and reported it to management.
