Tradition Futures & Securities SA & Others v Times Newspapers Ltd & Others - Restricted Reporting Order need not apply to claimants [2008] EAT

This claim, by Muslim sisters Samira & Hanan Fariad, has been well reported in the press, and this Webupdater, over recent weeks. However, since it includes (among its many claims) allegations of sexual misconduct, it has been subject to a Restricted Reporting Order (RRO) under Employment Tribunal Rules of Procedure Rule 50. The effect of the RRO was that none of the individuals involved in the matters complained of should be publicly identified.
