Wacha v Lewis & Another - tribunal failed to explain why it did not award uplift in compensation

Under the (now revoked) statutory dismissal procedures, an employment tribunal must award an uplift in compensation where an employer has failed to comply with the procedures. The only exception is where there are exceptional circumstances making it inequitable to do so - but a tribunal must expressly explain this.
