Wells v St Edwards RC Primary School - attempted appeal to EAT disallowed as no point of law involved
Mrs Wells was employed at St Edward's Roman Catholic Primary School, Oldham, as a supervisor for an hour and a half a day from the 1990s until 2006 when she was dismissed, allegedly by reason of redundancy. She claimed the dismissal was unfair. An employment tribunal dismissed that claim in September 2007. Neither she nor her husband attended the tribunal hearing. Mrs Wells failed on a review and, after several other applications, eventually appealed to the EAT.
