Ross v PGS Production A.S. CSOH 45 - when is it appropriate to use an expert witness
While not an employment law case as such, this case is of general interest.
Mr Ross was employed as a deck foreman on an off-shore installation. He was injured when a rope broke. He brought a personal injury claim against his employers. The claim itself was settled but Mr Ross applied to the Court for an order which, if made, would result in the costs of two "expert witnesses" he had employed being met by the employer.
