LA v General Social Care Council - registration as a social worker
Social worker Lisa Arthurworrey was the junior social worker in Haringey, North London, who was responsible for Victoria Climbie's welfare. She was dismissed after the little girl was murdered. She has also had two convictions of harassment of her neighbours.
Against opposition from the General Social Care Council, a Care Standards Tribunal ruled on 3rd June 2008 that she can be registered as a social worker after 'proper psychiatric assessment', retraining and supervision.
