Coleman v Attridge Law - the Equal Treatment Framework Directive prohibits "associative" discrimination against an employee on the grounds of their child's disability - ECJ Case C-303/06

Mrs Coleman claimed that the firm of solicitors which employed her discriminated against her because she was the carer of a disabled child. The question arose as to whether the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 afforded her protection. On the face of it it does not - but should it do so in order to properly give effect to Council Directive 2000/78/EC of 27 November 2000?
