Saggar v Ministry of Defence - Newcastle Employment Tribunal 25.1.06

Lt Col Surinder Saggar, 68, who is of Indian origin, is complaining to an employment tribunal over his treatment while posted in Cyprus. Earlier, he won a Court of Appeal case which confirmed that the tribunal had jurisdiction to hear a race discrimination claim on the basis that the whole period of his employment should be considered in deciding whether he should be treated as working in Great Britain, not just the period during which the alleged discrimination took place.
