Rothwell v Chemical & Insulating Co Ltd & Anor and other cases - pleural plaques asbestos case - [2006] EWCA Civ 27 on 26.1.06

The Court of Appeal allowed appeals by insurers and employers against the High Court judgment giving "pleural plaques" claimants a right to compensation. The mere presence of fibres cannot found a cause of action and the odds are that asbestos fibres in the various claimants' lungs will remain innocuous. The claimants were given leave to appeal to the House of Lords.
