Allan Janes LLP v Johal - restrictive covenants in employment contract, High Court (Ch D) - on BAILIII 30.03.2006

Ms Johal was a senior employed solicitor with Allan Janes LLP, a 5 partner firm in High Wycombe. Her contract contained post-termination restrictive covenants preventing her for 12 months from (i) getting alternative employment as a solicitor within 6 miles and/or (ii) dealing with clients of Allan Janes LLP. She resigned in April 2005 to join another local firm. In the week following termination of her employment she sent emails to established clients of her former employer.
