Madarassy v Nomura [2006] EWCA Civ 371, Court of Appeal 4.4.06
Ms Andrea Madarassy's claims of sex discrimination, unfair dismissal and victimisation against Nomura International were largely rejected by an employment tribunal, and later in December 2004 by the EAT. Her appeal to the Court of Appeal has been (in the words of the Court) "dramatically overtaken by disclosures potentially affecting the future conduct of all the proceedings". These concerned alleged discussions between Nomura's former solicitor and Ms Madarassy and have led to Nomura making a strike out application.
