Bolton School v Evans - whistleblowing - CA 15.11.06

Mr Evans has lost his appeal to the Court of Appeal - but is seeking leave to appeal to the House of Lords. He claimed that the whistleblowing rules covered his (constructive) dismissal from his job as IT teacher at Bolton School. He had drawn attention to security problems in the school's IT system and when nothing was done he hacked into the system to show how unsecure it was. A Manchester employment tribunal found that had been unfairly constructively dismissed for making a protected disclosure.
