Blakemore & 41 others v United Kingdom - settlements of claims by homosexuals dismissed from armed forces - ECtHR 11.12.07

Ms Blakemore and the others were all homosexuals. dismissed from the Armed Forces. In cases such as Lustig-Prean and Beckett v United Kingdom 1999 the ECtHR ruled that the UK government's policies on the investigation and dismissal of homosexuals from the armed forces breached Articles 8 & 13 of the European Convention on Human Rights. It also awarded compensation.
