L, R (on the application of) v Commissioner of Police for the Metropolis & Anor - Criminal records Certificates - CA 1.3.07
From February to December 2004 L was employed by an employment agency providing staff to schools. In particular, she worked as a midday supervisor at a secondary school. The agency applied for an enhanced criminal record certificate (ECRC) under Police Act 1997 s.115. While recording that she herself had no criminal convictions, the certificate revealed that her son had been placed on the Child Protection Register under the category of neglect at the age of only 13 and had then been given a custodial sentence for robbery.
