Connect & Vodafone Limited - union recognition application to CAC rejected as made too soon - CAC 21.3.07

The Connect union made a valid request to Vodafone for collective bargaining recognition in respect of a bargaining unit of 189 employees out of a total of around 10,000. The union's original request was received by the employer on 7th February 2007. Accordingly the first period of 10 working days specified in para 10(6) of Sch A1 to TULRCA 1992 commenced on 8th February 2007 and expired on 21th February 2007.
