Connect v Vodafone Ltd - union recognition - CAC 27.4.07

Having been turn down by Vodafone, the Connect Trade Union applied to the CAC for recognition for collective bargaining purposes in respect of a particular group of workers employed by Vodafone. Under relevant law the CAC had to decide whether 10% of the workers in the proposed bargaining unit are members of the union and whether a majority of the workers in that unit would be likely to support recognition of the Union for collective bargaining purposes (TULRCA 1992 Sch A1 para 36(1)).
