Wilson v Ministry of Defence & Anor - no reasons given in personal injury case - Court of Appeal 9.5.07
After retiring from the Army Air Corps Mr Wilson because an RAF helicopter instructor at RAF Benson in Oxfordshire. A computer failure led to a simulator he was "flying" going into abort mode. It collapsed and jarred his neck. The MoD admitted liability. After seeing and hearing evidence, which included photographs of Mr Wilson on recent skiing holidays, a judge awarded him £1,000 for pain and suffering.
