Singapore Medical Council, R (on the application of) v General Medical Council & Anor - Fitness to Practise - High Court (QBD) 21.12.06
As a result of an inquiry into complaints regarding the conduct of a medical research project, the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) found Professor Shorvon, principal lead investigator of the project, guilty of professional misconduct under s.45(1)(d) of the Medical Registration Act of Singapore. It censured him, required him to give an undertaking, fined him, and directed that his name be removed from the Register of Medical Practitioners in Singapore. He was also ordered to pay costs.
