Cusworth v British Gas - compromise agreement prevents claim - Court of Appeal 7.6.07
Mr Cusworth lost a case at an employment tribunal, with costs awarded against him. The tribunal ruled that it had no jurisdcition because Mr Cusworth's claims were precluded under the terms of a compromise agreement he had signed - and also the claims were out of time, he had failed to lodge a grievance in respect of the claims and he was precluded from pursuing them by virtue of the principle of issue estoppel.
