R v Bantick - correct sentence for employee with young children convicted of theft - Court of Appeal (Crim) 18.5.07
An employee stole in total some £45,000 from her small business employer. She was convicted and given a prison sentence. She appealed against sentence on the basis that as a mother with two young children the sentence should and could have been suspended. Her appeal has been dismissed.
