Camden Primary Care Trust v Atchoe - deductions from wages - Court of Appeal 9.5.07

Mr Atchoe worked for Camden NHS Primary Care Trust. Under a rota system he was contractually obliged to provide certain on-call duties for extra pay in addtion to his normal duties as a maintenance engineer. He refused to provide required qualification certificates. Camden then removed him from the rota and stopped the extra payments. He won a claim to an employment tribunal that this was unlawful deduction from wages contrary to ERA 1996 s.13.
