Chaudhary v Secretary of State for Health - a doctor's vicarious liability race discrimination claim against the Sec'y of State - Court of Appeal 27.7.07

The Court of Appeal judgment starts by saying that "For a better understanding of the background to this marathon litigation the judgments on this application and on the BMA appeal should be read together". In shortest possible summary, Mr Chaudhary, a senior surgeon, claimed that the relevant official authority (the Specialist Training Authority Appeal Panel) was guilty of race discrimination and victimisation by refusing to enter him on the Register of Specialists.
