P, R. v - requisite knowledge for managing director's Health & Safety liability for company's actions - Court of Appeal 11.7.07

Under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 a prosecution was brought against P Ltd due to some apparently danagerous practices. There were also proceedings against Mr G, its managing director, for allowing P to commit the offence "by his neglect". The Court of Appeal confirmed that establishing "neglect" would not necessarily require showing that Mr G actually knew of P's practices.
