The Asylum & Immigration Tribunal confirmed that it has jurisdiction to consider a challenge to an immigration decision on the basis of the public law concept of legitimate expectation. It falls within the grounds of appeal that a decision is "otherwise not in accordance with the law" (Nationality, Immigration & Asylum Act 2002 s84).
