Mr Martins was found liable for the tort of harassment against Mr Choudhary, under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997. His actions included racial abuse, and deliberately running Mr Choudhary's car off the road. The judge awarded damages of £12,500 for psychiatric injury and £10,000 for injury to feelings.
