Bond v United Kingdom - to claim violation of rights under ECHR "a person must be directly affected by the impugned measure" - ECtHR 1.4.08

As in similar cases reported in this web-updater (see Cummins v UK and Nelson v UK) the ECtHR held that the refusal to pay Widowed Mother's Allowance to Mr Bond was discriminatory and the refusal regarding Widow's Pension was not.
