Impact v Ministry of Agriculture (Ireland) - where domestic legislation to enact EC law is late, directly enforceable rights must be protected by courts - ECJ Case C-268/06 - 15.4.08

The Framework Agreement annexed to EU Directive 1999/70EC, which protects fixed-term workers, was required to be put into effect in Member States by no later than 10 July 2001. In Ireland the relevant legislation came into force two years late, on 14 July 2003.
