A v B - High Court has jurisidiction for judicial review of decision to prevent publication by ex-Security Services officer - QBD 4.7.08
A was a former member of the Security Service, B the Director of Establishments of the Service. A, bound by duties of confidentiality, sought permission to publish a book about the Service: B refused. A then sought judicial review of that decision, claiming that it was unreasonable, vitiated by bias and contrary to Article 10 of the ECHR (freedom of expression). B countered by challenging the High Court's jurisdiction.
