Djedje v ICTS (UK) Ltd - how many times can permission to appeal be refused? - Court of Appeal 28.7.08
Mr Djedje worked for ICTS at Heathrow Airport. ICTS had a "zero-tolerance policy" on theft; so when Mr Djedje was caught taking an ice-cream from an American Airlines aircraft ICTS dismissed him - quite fairly, the Reading employment tribunal decided.
The interesting element to the case, however, is Mr Djedje's persistence at trying to have an appeal heard - and thus demonstrating the number of attempts available to the tenacious recipient of an unwelcome tribunal decision.
