Darnton v Bournemouth University - employer must initiate negotiations under Information and Consultation Regulations 2004 "as soon as reasonably practical" - CAC on 5.11.08

Mr Darnton complained to the Central Arbitration Committee (CAC) that the University had failed to arrange for the holding of a ballot to elect information and consultation representatives as required by the Information and Consultation of Employees Regulations 2004 Reg 19(1).

The CAC rejected his complaint.
