Percy v Church of Scotland Board of National Mission, Ministers of religion and employment law rights - House of Lords on 15th December 2005

A former Church of Scotland minister has won the right to claim compensation for alleged sex discrimination. The Law Lords have ruled that the relationship of a Minister with the Church is one of "employment" for purposes of anti-discrimination law. It does not follow that the same is true for unfair dismissal law purposes, but this must now be at least more arguable than before.
