Commission of the European Communities v Italian Republic - ECJ Case C-119/04

The ECJ has ruled that Italy has failed properly to comply with a ruling made by the ECJ in a case in 2001 concerning freedom of movement of workers and recognition of their qualifications. The ECJ ordered Italy to pay the costs of the action although it did not consider it appropriate to impose penalty payments.
