O'Connell & ors. v UK - widowers' entitlement to widows' benefits - ECtHR 22.5.07

The European Court of Human Rights ruled in Willis v United Kingdom in 2002 that rules denying widowers the right to certain social security payments to which widows were entitled were contrary to the European Convention on Human Rights. In this case, widowers made similar claims to those made in the Willis case. The UK has settled their claims.
